Ingredients:
- 600 g of beef on the bone;
- 800-900 g of potatoes;
- 250 g carrots;
- 1 onion;
- 300-350 g of white cabbage;
- 1 pinch of black pepper;
- Tomato paste to taste;
- fresh dill;
- bay leaves.
Cooking:
- Rinse the meat thoroughly, put in a saucepan (3 l), pour in the most ordinary cold water, add salt and place on medium heat. Cook 1-1.5 hours after boiling, regularly removing foam. At the same time, at the end of cooking, the meat should be fully prepared.
- Meanwhile, potato tubers need to be washed from dirt, peeled and chopped with medium cubes.
- After an hour and a half, get the finished meat, cool, divide into small pieces and put it into the broth again. Following the meat, throw potatoes there too. Bring all the ingredients to a boil, cook over low heat.
- Peel and wash the onion with carrot. Chop the onion into thin half rings, and carrot on a coarse grater.
- Heat oil in a skillet. Put half the onion rings in hot oil and fry them for 2-3 minutes over high heat, without stopping stirring.
- After a couple of minutes, add grated carrot to the onion, mix everything and fry again for 2-3 minutes.
- After this time, add tomato paste to the vegetable frying, mix again and fry for a short time.
- Finely chop the cabbage with a knife, toss in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Next, put the roasting in cabbage soup, add salt, pepper, bay leaves and dill to taste. If there is no fresh dill, then you can take dried.
- Cook until all the ingredients are ready, turn it off, then you need to remove and discard the bay leaves, and leave the cabbage soup standing, covered with a lid, for 15-20 minutes. Note that the cabbage soup turned out delicious, they must be insisted.
- If you need acidic cabbage soup, then at the end of cooking, you must definitely add the juice squeezed from half a lemon. Cabbage soup can be served with bread, sour cream or mayonnaise.
