Instruction manual

1

To pickle a silver carp at home, take a fish, rinse it thoroughly under running water, dry it, then cut off your head, separate the ridge and offal. Carefully cut the resulting fillet into medium-sized pieces, approximately from a matchbox.

2

Place the chopped pieces in a large dish and sprinkle them with plenty of coarse salt. After that, cover the dish with a lid and place in a cool place for a couple of hours. During this time, the fish should be saturated with salt.

3

While the fish is salting, prepare the marinade. To do this, pour water in a medium-sized saucepan, add a tablespoon of granulated sugar, two tablespoons of salt, a couple of bay leaves, ten peas of black pepper, one clove. Stir all the ingredients in water, then put the pot with marinade on a slow fire, bring to a boil and cook for five minutes.

4

When the marinade is boiled, remove it from the heat and cool completely to room temperature. In the cooled marinade, add the required amount of table vinegar, mix well.

5

Remove the fish and rinse it with excess salt. Then take onions, cut it into half rings, and then transfer to a jar. In the same jar, put the washed fish and fill the contents with the cooked marinade. Add two tablespoons of vegetable oil to the marinade.

6

Close the jar and shake well so that the ingredients inside mix evenly. Place the jar of silver carp in the refrigerator for two days. After time, the fish can be taken out of the refrigerator and eat.

7

Salty silver carp is ready! Serve the fish as a complete dish or with various side dishes. The silver carp is best combined with potatoes in any form.

note

You can add carrots, fresh dill and garlic to silver carp. The fish marinated with vegetables and herbs will turn out even tastier and more aromatic.

The silver carp salty at home can be stored for up to two weeks in the refrigerator under a nylon cover.

Sprinkle the fish with plenty of salt so that it is not visible. Salt will not only give a taste to silver carp, but also prevent the possibility of ingestion of river parasites.

Useful advice

To make the silver carp cook faster, cut the fish fillet into small pieces, this will reduce the cooking time of the silver carp by almost half.

You can rub the fish fillet not only with salt, but also with black pepper.
