If you like to cook simple and tasty dishes, then you will surely like buckwheat cooked in a duet with a juicy chicken. The food is very aromatic and mouth-watering. You will need

  • - Chicken fillet - 500 g;

  • - Buckwheat groats core - 350 g;

  • - Medium onions - 2 pcs.;

  • - Carrots - 1 pc.;

  • - Tomato paste - 2 tsp. or tomatoes - 3 pcs.;

  • - Bay leaf - 2 pcs.;

  • - Ground black pepper;

  • - salt;

  • - Sunflower oil - 3 tbsp. l.;

  • - Fresh greens;

  • - Deep pan with lid or cauldron.

Peel the carrots and onions and rinse. Chop the onion into thin quarter-rings, and carrot into small cubes or in the shape of a semicircle.

Rinse the chicken fillet under running water and dry with paper towels. After that, cut it into small pieces.

Take a deep pan with a thick bottom and walls (cauldron), pour in sunflower oil. As soon as the pan warms up sufficiently, transfer the chopped chicken fillet into it and fry until a blush appears for 6-7 minutes.

Then lay the onion and fry it with the chicken until it begins to acquire a beautiful golden hue. Drop the carrots and fry for a few more minutes. Add ground black pepper and salt to taste. At the end, put the tomato paste and fry everything together for a couple of minutes.

Rinse the buckwheat groats in the meantime. Then put it in a pan, mix with meat, onions and carrots and fry for 1-2 minutes. Then pour 500 ml of boiling water, put a bay leaf, reduce the temperature to a minimum, cover and simmer until the buckwheat is cooked for about 15 minutes.

Remove the finished dish from the stove and arrange in portions. Before serving, you can take the greens that you like best, for example, chives, dill or parsley, chop it and sprinkle each serving.
