Dishes from cabbage are traditionally attributed to the Russian national cuisine.   • –320 g of white cabbage;

  • -170 g of Beijing cabbage;

  • -2-3 eggs;

  • -1 fresh carrots;

  • –– pepper and salt to taste;

  • –5 g of dried basil;

  • –1.5 tbsp vegetable oil.

Remove from the head the wilted top leaves, and chop the cabbage with a sharp knife and put in a cup. Also chop the Beijing cabbage and add to the white cabbage.

Wash the carrots and grate on a coarse grater. Be careful, as you can get injured on the grater blade. Transfer the grated carrots to a separate cup.

Put the pan on the fire and pour in the right amount of sunflower oil. Wait until it warms up a little. Add cabbage and carrots. Stir with a wooden spatula. Salt and simmer for about 20-35 minutes. If the cabbage starts to burn, then pour a little clean water.

While the dish is cooking, take the eggs, transfer to a cup and beat with a fork or blender.

Pour the egg mixture into the cabbage and stir well to fully distribute the eggs in the pan. Sprinkle with dried basil and cover tightly. After 5-12 minutes, the cabbage will be ready. The dish is served both hot and cold in combination with meat, fish, mashed potatoes.

If you want to give the dish an original taste, it is enough to pour 10 ml of thick cream at the end of cooking. Crisp cabbage will turn out in the case of reducing the cooking time by about 4 minutes.

Useful advice

Cabbage with eggs can be supplemented with fresh dill, onions and garlic. It all depends on your individual preferences. The readiness of the dish is evidenced by the transparent color of cabbage and the softness of carrots.
