Many families make preparations for the winter from cabbage. This is a versatile vegetable that can be combined with various vegetables. The salad is easy to prepare, each hostess will cope with the recipe.

You will need
- - 2 kg of white cabbage,
- - 1.5 kg of carrots,
- - 2 cloves of garlic,
- - 50 grams of sugar,
- - 1 tbsp. a spoon of salt
- - 30 ml of vegetable oil,
- - 100 ml of table vinegar,
- - 5 bay leaves,
- - 6 peppercorns,
- - 700 ml of water.

To make the salad delicious, use young and juicy head of cabbage for cooking. Remove the top sheets from the cabbage. Cut the head of cabbage into two parts, remove the stump, chop with straws.

Rinse the carrots, peel, cut into strips. If desired, carrots can be grated on a coarse grater.

Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. Transfer prepared vegetables to the pan and mix.

For the marinade. Pour water into a free pan, add the required amount of sugar, salt, vegetable oil, parsley, peppercorns. Put the pot on the fire. After boiling, boil the marinade for 5 minutes at medium heat.

Pour the cabbage with the resulting marinade. Put spices in the marinade in cabbage. Place a pot of cabbage and marinade over medium heat, boil for half an hour. Add the required amount of vinegar, boil for another five minutes. Stir the cabbage several times during cooking. While the cabbage is boiling, prepare the jars (sterilize).

Lay out the ready-made cabbage salad in jars, roll up the lids. Turn over the jars, cover with a blanket and leave to cool completely. Then transfer the workpiece to storage.
