You will need

  • - 1 kg of cherries;

  • - 2 tbsp instant gelatin;

  • - 700 g of granulated sugar.

Instruction manual

1

First you need to remove all the tails from the berry and fill it with cold water. Leave the cherry in water for about 2 hours. This is necessary in order to remove insects from the berry that you might not have noticed while sorting through the cherries.

2

To make berries in jelly, you need seedless cherries. After you pour water from the cherry, you can proceed to remove them, armed with a pin or a regular hairpin.

3

After the seedless cherries are prepared, transfer them to a large container for cooking jam, as foam will form during cooking, and therefore the dishes should be filled with no more than half the cherry. Combine the gelatin with sugar, add to the berry and mix everything thoroughly. Put the dishes with the berry in a cool place for about 12 hours so that the cherry gives the juice.

4

When the time has passed, put the dishes with the cherry on the fire, bring to a boil and simmer for about 3-5 minutes on low heat, constantly stirring and removing the resulting foam.

5

Turn off the heat, remove the remaining foam from the cherry, and place the berry in a clean, dry, sterilized jar. Now cherry in jelly can be rolled up.

6

Turn the jars of cherry jelly upside down and wrap them up until morning. Lower the cooled cans into the cellar, or store in a dark pantry.

note

Jelly cherries can be used to make cottage cheese desserts and sweet pastries.
