    • 2 cups of flour;
    • 0.5 tsp soda;

    • sugar;
    • salt.

Steamed Berry Dumplings Sift flour and soda into a large bowl. Make a hole in the middle, drive an egg there. Knead the dough, gradually pouring kefir or sour milk.

Sprinkle flour on the table, put a piece of dough. Knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands. Roll it into a layer about 7 mm thick. With a glass or mug, cut out the mugs from it.

Rinse the berries, free from seeds, cover with sugar. Put the cooked stuffing on each circle. Cover the edges.

Boil water in a saucepan. Fold the gauze in two layers and pull over the pan, tied to the handles. Put dumplings on it, cover with a lid. Cooking time - 7-8 minutes.

Serve the dumplings hot. If they are sweet, they can be flavored with honey, sour cream or jam. From drinks it goes well with compote, jelly and sweet tea.

As the filling you can use: berries, fruits, cottage cheese, potatoes, mushrooms. If the dumplings are not eaten immediately, then they can be fried in a pan. So they will look like pies.

Curd dumplings in a double boiler. Sift the flour through a sieve. Mix with soda. Add sugar (0.5 tbsp) and salt (0.5 tsp) to milk, pour into sifted flour. Knead the dough. Add flour until the dough stops sticking. Wrap in cling film, let lie in the cold for 30 minutes.

Mash curd and wipe. Beat in the egg, add 1 tbsp. sugar and 0.5 tsp salt, mix. Pinch off a piece the size of a small plum from the dough, stretch it with your hands, put the curd filling, close the dumpling.

Grease the tiers of the double boiler so that the dumplings do not stick. Put the dumplings. Steam for 10 minutes. Pour the prepared dumplings with melted butter, serve with sour cream.

Useful advice

It is better to spread the berry filling in the form of whole berries. If they are previously kneaded with sugar, the filling will flow out, and the dumplings will stick out. For greater "strength" it is recommended to add a little semolina or starch to the filling.
