When choosing a herring, take a larger one. Usually it is fatter, tastier. And the bones from such fish are easier to take out. Starting cooking, cut off the head with a sharp knife at the herring. Remove and fins.

After cutting the abdomen of herring, carefully clean all the insides. Remember to remove the black films on the inner walls. Make a neat cut along the ridge of the fish.

Then remove the skin. Divide the fish into two halves and remove the bones. Rinse herring under running cold water and cut into small pieces.

Peel the onions. Wash it and cut into half rings. Put the onion at the bottom of the dish and pour it with table vinegar. After 5-7 minutes, add the fish here.

Sprinkle herring with onion and vinegar in vegetable oil. Use unrefined sunflower oil for this. Then the dish will be aromatic. Stir again. Herring with vinegar and vegetable oil is ready.

Such a dish can be prepared for the future. Place it in a glass jar, put in the refrigerator, adding a little more vegetable oil on top. In this form, herring can be stored for 3-4 days.
