I had a chance to try this salad at a party with an inveterate summer resident and hunter. Its taste fully justifies the name. And even if you do not have your own garden, not to mention fresh game - it does not matter. All the necessary ingredients are available at any supermarket.

You will need

  • - duck fillet - 300 grams;

  • - flesh of a melon - 300 grams;

  • - Romaine lettuce - 1 bunch;

  • - fresh cucumber - 1 piece;

  • - red onion - 1 piece;

  • - jelly from black or red currants - 150 grams;

  • - balsamic vinegar - 20 milliliters;

  • - meat broth - 100 milliliters;

  • - olive oil - 20 milliliters;

  • - salt and pepper are preferred.

Instruction manual

1

Duck meat is quite tough, so before you start cooking it must be prepared. To do this, wrap the fillet in cling film so that there is no spray, then do not beat it off with a kitchen hammer. Expand and pepper, salt on both sides. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the whole fillet for 10-15 minutes on each side. Then transfer the meat to a cutting board, remove excess oil and cut into small slices.

2

Now you need to do melon, herbs and vegetables. Wash the melon thoroughly, peel and seed. Cut it into slices, and they, in turn, into slices, no more than meat. Rinse and dry the salad with a paper towel. Stack the leaves and cut into thin strips with a knife. Peel and finely chop the onion. At a cucumber cut the stalk and receptacle, if desired, can be peeled. Cut in half and then sliced. Thus, all ingredients should be approximately the same size.

3

For dressing, which rightly makes this salad original, grate berry jelly with pepper, salt, vinegar and dilute it with broth combined with olive oil. In the end, it remains to put all the ingredients in a deep salad bowl and mix. It is better to refuel right before serving, in a portioned plate.
