You will need

    • 1 glass of rice;
    • 2 glasses of water;
    • 1.5 cups of milk;
    • 1 apple
    • 50 g butter;
    • sugar to taste;
    • raisins
    • dried apricots;
    • salt.

Instruction manual

1

Rinse the rice in plenty of water several times. Pour the washed rice with hot water, salt and put on a simmer over medium heat.

2

After the water in a pan or saucepan boils, reduce the heat to a minimum and continue to cook rice under the lid until almost all the water has boiled away.

3

Then add milk to the rice and boil for another 5 minutes. It is best to boil milk separately and pour it already hot.

4

Cut apples into small cubes or slices. It is advisable not to remove the peel. If desired, apples can be caramelized. To do this, melt a small piece of butter in a pan. Put the chopped apples there and add a couple of tablespoons of sugar. If desired, you can add cinnamon on the tip of the knife. Stir and caramelize until the apples turn a golden hue.

5

Rinse and dried apricots thoroughly and pour in hot water. Steamed dried apricots cut into pieces.

6

Add raisins, dried apricots and fresh apples to the porridge. Stir and continue cooking over low heat for another 5-6 minutes.

7

Remove from heat and let the porridge stand under a closed lid for another 10-15 minutes. Add a slice of butter and mix.

8

If you caramelized apples, put porridge on a plate and decorate with apple slices. Pour over the resulting caramel sauce. The dish is ready to eat.

note

Rice cereals are recommended by dieticians to people with gastrointestinal problems.

Do not digest rice. It must remain crumbly, so it retains more useful vitamins and minerals.

Useful advice

For porridge, it is advisable to choose round rice - it contains more sticky substances.

Rinse the rice better first with warm water, and then hot. Warm water removes starch from the surface of cereals, and hot water removes fat that could have formed during storage of rice.
