Braised chestnuts
This dish has a delicate taste and a pleasant aroma, to prepare it you will need:
- 200 g of chestnuts;
- 2 mint leaves;
- 0.5 tsp Sahara;
- salt to taste;
- 1 tsp butter.
Dip the chestnuts in hot water for 3-4 minutes, then peel them and put them in a small saucepan. Pour the nuts with water, so that it covers them about 1cm, add chopped mint and granulated sugar. Cover the container with a lid and bring the water with chestnuts to a boil, put the creamy meat in it and reduce the heat. Simmer nuts for an hour, add water if necessary. Serve the finished dish hot, it goes well with red wine.
Chestnut soup
Chestnut soup has a spicy taste and a thick creamy consistency. To make soup, you will need:
- 500 g of baked chestnuts;
- 200 g of onions;
- 0.5 l of chicken stock;
- 150 oily cream;
- salt to taste;
- pepper to taste;
- some olive oil;
- sprigs of fresh parsley.
Chop onions and chestnuts lightly and fry until golden in a deep stewpan or pan with a thick bottom. Pour the fried ingredients into the chicken stock and simmer for 40 minutes.
Beat the soup with a blender into a homogeneous mass, then bring to a boil, salt and pepper. Remove the soup from the heat, season with cream and mix, serve on a table sprinkled with olive oil and garnished with parsley sprigs.
