Instruction manual

1

Grind butter in the form of small cubes. Then combine it with pre-sifted flour and turn it into small crumbs. To the resulting mass, add the following ingredients: granulated sugar, sour cream and salt. Mix everything thoroughly and knead soft dough. Put it in the cold for about half an hour, after covering it with cling film.

2

After the time has passed, take out the dough and roll it out using a rolling pin so that the layer size matches the size of the baking sheet.

3

Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet covered with a sheet of parchment, and gently pierce with a fork in several places. Send to bake for about 10-12 minutes.

4

In the meantime, prepare the fill with poppy seeds. To do this, break the eggs and separate the yolks from the proteins. Combine the second with salt and beat until a stable white foam. Mix the first with granulated sugar. Beat until sugar is completely dissolved. Then introduce hot water and starch into this mixture. Add steamed poppy and oatmeal there. Mix well. Add proteins to the resulting mass and mix until smooth.

5

To make apple jam, do the following: remove the peel from the fruit and chop it into small cubes. Place the apples in a saucepan, mix with water and granulated sugar and place on the stove. Cook this mixture until it becomes homogeneous, that is, for 15-20 minutes. Cool.

6

Place the apple jam on the baked cake, evenly distributing and leveling it over the entire surface. Then lay out the poppy seed fill. Send mazurek to bake for about half an hour.

7

Cool the finished baking and give it time to brew - so it will become much tastier. Mazurek with apples and poppy seeds is ready!
