Of course, it’s almost impossible to cook real Armenian pita bread at home, since this requires a special oven. But still it’s worth trying to make pita bread at home - it will turn out soft and elastic. From pita bread you can cook a lot of original and delicious snacks for the festive table.

- 1 cup kefir,
- 1 tbsp. l vegetable oil

- 0.5 tsp soda

First of all, prepare all the necessary ingredients and a suitable bowl for making pita bread.

Kefir should be at room temperature, do not overheat it. Pour 1 cup kefir into a bowl.

Add salt, soda and vegetable oil there.

Sift the flour through a fine sieve to saturate with oxygen and send in a bowl to all other ingredients. Knead a thick dough, cover with a towel or a plastic bag to make the dough distance. Leave on for 30 minutes.

After this, knead the dough again and cut into several small pieces. Roll out each piece of dough into a thin cake, the thickness should be no more than one millimeter.

Put a frying pan on the fire (without oil), warm it up well. And bake one cake for 10-15 seconds on each side. Our wonderful pita breads are ready, you can serve them to the table.

Georgian pita bread has a golden color and magnificent forms, the thickness of which is 2-8 cm. And Armenian pita bread does not contain yeast and therefore its thickness reaches only 2-4 mm, most importantly it should be soft, flexible and light.
Useful advice
The flour must be sifted through a sieve so that it is saturated and enriched with oxygen. It is not necessary to extinguish soda, as fermented milk products, in this case kefir, will be paid off.
