Peel and chop the onion. Fry quickly and lightly in a pan and set aside to cool. Boil rice until half cooked in water with salt. Mix the main ingredients of the stuffing for stuffed cabbage: rice, onion, salt and pepper.

Wrap the filling in cabbage leaves, as usual. Place the cabbage rolls in a glass baking dish in the oven and add the washed and chopped greens.

Combine the tomato puree and sour cream, add a little salt and add about half a glass of water. Pour the sauce into the baking dish over the spread cabbage rolls and, like a lid, wrap the form on top with foil.

Serve the finished cabbage rolls from the oven on the table in a baking dish or portionwise on plates.
note
An unusual option is a sweet pumpkin filling. It is tasty and tender if the grated pumpkin is slightly fried in butter and supplemented with salt and sugar. Everything else is prepared in the same way as in ordinary cabbage rolls: cabbage leaves, rice, sour cream sauce.
Another vegetarian find is tender potato filling for stuffed cabbage. Remove rice from the recipe. The rest is a classic.
