Melted lard is stored for up to 3 years and is used not only for food purposes, but for medicinal and even cosmetic purposes.

Salting. Salting cannot be salted during salting; it is believed that lard absorbs just as much salt as is necessary to achieve the best taste. So, prepare the pickling. For 1 kg. fat take 3-4 tbsp. l salt, 1 tbsp. l black pepper, you can add a mixture of dried herbs if you wish. Cut the garlic into large strips. Cut the fat into slices 4-5 cm. Wide, stuff it with garlic and roll in a pickling mixture. Take enameled dishes and lay the slices in layers, each layer while sprinkling with spices. Leave to salt in a cool place for 3-5 days. After the specified time, wrap the cooked fat with cling film and store in the refrigerator, and in the freezer, this fat can be stored for a year.

Prepare the pickling mixture from recipe number 2. Cut the fat into strips of 15-20 cm long. Roll the sliced ​​fat into the mixture and leave it in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Wipe the lard soaked in a mixture well with a paper towel. Take the smokehouse hooks and place pieces of bacon on them. Keep such pieces over the smoke of the smokehouse must be at least 3 hours. Smoked lard is stored in the refrigerator for about a year.
