Vegetable stew - great dinner. Especially in the summer when you want something less greasy. It can be prepared with the addition of any vegetables to taste (potatoes, eggplant, cabbage, etc.). Here is one of the recipes. The recipe is for 6 servings.

You will need

    • 500 gr. meat. Not fat pork or beef is best.
    • 1 large or two small carrots,
    • Onions 1pc. (if small

    • 500 gr. potatoes
    • 1 bell pepper
    • ¼ a small head of white cabbage,
    • 3-4 peas of allspice,
    • 2 bay leaves
    • Ground black pepper
    • Salt,
    • Chili pepper and greens.

Cut meat into 3 * 3 cm slices.

Take a roasting pan or pan, pour a small amount of vegetable oil into it. As soon as the oil is warmed up, put the meat in it and fry over high heat so that a golden crust is obtained.

Chop the carrots into strips. The strips should be thin, but not very narrow, about 1cm. Add to the roasting pan to the meat and fry.

Then cut the potatoes into cubes of 3-4 cm. And put in the meat and carrots. Fry over medium heat.

Cut bell pepper into strips, and onions in half rings and also put them in a pan.

Add salt and pepper, and then pour half a glass of water.

Finely chop the cabbage and put it into the meat with vegetables. On the cabbage put bay leaf and peppercorns.

Then everything should be mixed very carefully. Simmer, stirring every ten minutes, over low heat for 50 minutes.

After 40 minutes, that is, ten minutes before cooking, add finely chopped dill and parsley. Stew must be served hot.

Also in the recipe for vegetable stew, you can add eggplant or zucchini. But in this case, it should be remembered that they cook very quickly and they need to be added at the end of cooking. Good luck in cooking and bon appetit!

Useful advice

When frying, do not add a large amount of oil. Ragout can turn out "not in a summer" bold.
