Crab sticks in batter is an elementary and at the same time original appetizer that will fit perfectly into an ordinary feast, and will become an exquisite culinary addition to any festive table.

For 15 servings of snacks (standard packaging) you will need: 300 g of crab sticks, lemon juice, oil, spices, 3 chicken eggs, 2/3 cup flour, ½ cup milk or water, herbs (dill, parsley) and pickled cucumber (for decoration))

Crab sticks must be thawed and freed from the cellophane wrapper.

To make batter, you need to carefully divide the eggs into yolks and squirrels. In yolks, finish the spices (salt, pepper, oregano) to taste, intensively beat with a whisk. Pour milk into the formed mixture (and for lack of it - water), mix thoroughly. Without stopping stirring, gradually add the sifted flour to the mixture to make a batter that is reminiscent of a workpiece for pancakes in consistency.

An alternative to the standard recipe can be a beer batter. To prepare it, you need to take water and beer (70 ml each) instead of milk in equal proportions and knead the dough in the same way.

Beat the whites thoroughly with a mixer until a thick, stable foam is formed that does not leak from the bowl. Gently spoon the whipped whites into the mixture.

Vegetable oil is best heated thoroughly in a deep frying pan or a small saucepan. There should be enough oil so that the crab sticks can completely immerse themselves in the hot liquid.

Next, you need to prick the crab stick on the fork and dip in the batter, completely dipping it in the mixture. Gently put the sticks in a hot oil. Deep-fry them until golden brown.

To whisk the proteins better, they must first be cooled. It is advisable to put the bowl in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before starting to whisk.

To remove excess fat from the cooked dish, you need to put the sticks on paper napkins. Optionally, you can decorate the dish with herbs and pickles. A great addition will be tartar sauce or mayonnaise.

Following the rules of a healthy diet, sour cream sauce can be prepared at home. To do this, wash and chop the greens, mix with sour cream, sprinkle with lemon juice. Pass a couple of cloves of garlic through a garlic extractor and mix with the rest of the ingredients. Serve with the main course.

In total, cooking takes 35 minutes, and the pleasure of a culinary masterpiece lasts for the whole evening. A simple and original recipe will allow you to give a "marine flavor" to the festive table.

It is best to get crab sticks with the help of a slotted spoon, the use of which will allow not to violate the integrity of their shell.

Alternatively, crab sticks can be stuffed. To do this, you should choose large sticks so that it is convenient to fill them with filling. The filling is prepared from processed cheese, grated, mixed with a small amount of mayonnaise, chopped garlic and herbs. Thawed sticks must be carefully untwisted, put a teaspoon of filler, gently spreading it over the entire surface of the stick, twist, giving the dish its original shape.
