You will need

  • - 0.5 kg of semolina

  • - 2 eggs

  • - 150 ml of vegetable oil

  • - 200 ml of yogurt

  • - 3 cups granulated sugar

  • - 2 tsp baking powder

  • - a pinch of vanillin

  • - 1 zest of orange

  • - 2.5 glasses of water

  • - 1 tsp lemon juice

  • - nuts

Instruction manual

1

Whisk sugar and eggs with a whisk.

2

Add yogurt and vegetable oil, mix. Then add semolina, a pinch of vanillin, baking powder.

3

Rub the zest of the orange and mix. Grease the mold and sprinkle with semolina.

4

Pour the dough into the mold and place in the oven, heated to 180 degrees, for about 30-35 minutes until a golden crust appears.

5

Cook the syrup from 2.5 cups of water, 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Bring to a boil and boil for 5-10 minutes. When the shambhali is baked, take out a baking sheet and fill it with syrup (sorbet) and send it back to the oven, even if it is baked for 5-10 minutes. Due to this, the syrup is quickly absorbed.

6

Directly in the baking dish, cut into pieces, sprinkle with coconut chips if desired.

7

Serve chilled on the table.
