You will need
- -6 large cloves of garlic, chopped
- -1 tablespoon of dried parsley
- -1 tablespoon dried oregano
- -1/2 tsp kosher salt
- Sprinkle with ground black pepper
- -1/2 cup olive oil
- -1 large loaf of fresh Italian bread

Preheat the oven to 240 degrees. Prepare all ingredients and work surface.

Add all ingredients except bread and butter to a small saucepan. Simmer for 3-5 minutes or until the garlic is cooked completely.

Cut the bread in half horizontally and butter one half. Spread the garlic and herbs mixture in the other half.

Close the bread and wrap in foil. Bake on the middle shelf at 240 degrees for 5 minutes. Then open the foil and continue baking for another 5 minutes.

After cooking, remove the foil and cut into slices. Serve with soups, mashed potatoes or stews.
