Since lemon and lime are the closest relatives, people often confuse them. Both of these fruits contain a large amount of ascorbic acid and belong to the citrus family of the root. Lemon = Lime
The fruits of the lemon tree are ovoid fruits with narrowed ends. Lemon leads its history from India, China and the tropical islands in the Pacific Ocean, where it grows comfortably in a subtropical climate. The homeland of lime is the Malacca Peninsula, and its fruits grow on a bush 1.5 to 2 meters high (less often on trees five meters high). They are similar to lemon fruits in shape and color, but differ and are more demanding on the quality of the soil.

The color of lime peel, in contrast to bright yellow lemon, is greenish yellow or completely green. This is due to the fact that it deteriorates quickly enough, and suppliers are trying to extend the time for its implementation, collect its fruits in an immature state. Also, in comparison with the transparent yellowish flesh of lemon, lime has a more juicy, delicate and granular flesh of a green tint. Lemon, in turn, prevails over lime in size - although certain types of lime are similar in size.
