My great-grandmother was a herbalist. She lived in the village and treated everyone with herbs, which she herself collected and procured. Unfortunately, most of her secrets with her and left. But the tradition remained in the family: we all prefer herbal drinks to ordinary tea.

Instruction manual
1
In the summer we take fresh herbs, and in the winter - dry. St. John's wort and oregano for drying should be collected during their flowering, cutting the tops of plants 10-15 cm high from plants. But peppermint leaves can be collected all summer. Dry the herbs separately, in a protected from direct sunlight, ventilated place. In winter we take sweet cherries.
2
So, to make a drink, an apple needs to be peeled and peeled and cut into cubes. Remove the seeds from the cherry. Pour fruit with 1 liter of water, boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Cool, strain through a strainer.
3
Pour herbs into an enameled or earthenware kettle. Boil the apple-berry broth and pour in the herbal mixture, add cinnamon stick. Cover the kettle with a towel to cool more slowly. After half an hour, strain. The drink is ready. Fans of sweets can add sugar to it, but I prefer the tart natural taste. In winter, instead of fresh apples, you can take a handful of dried. And for drying, use acidic varieties.
