You will need

  • - fish fillet - 800 g;

  • - onion - 2 pcs.;

  • - rice - 0.5 cups;

  • - peeled shrimp - 400 g;

  • - vegetable oil;

  • - flour for breading;

  • - cabbage - 700 g;

  • - carrots - 1 pc.;

  • - bay leaf - 2 pcs.;

  • - tomato paste - 2 tablespoons;

  • - salt;

  • - red ground pepper.

Instruction manual

1

Pass the fish fillet 2 times through a meat grinder. Cut the onion in half and also pass through the meat grinder. Boil rice in salted water until half cooked, let cool and put in minced meat. Salt the mass, season with pepper and mix well.

2

Make small cakes of minced fish, put shrimp in the middle of each and roll the balls. Roll the resulting meatballs in flour and fry on all sides in vegetable oil.

3

Chop the cabbage. Peel and chop the onion into small pieces. Grate the carrots on a fine grater. Stir all the vegetables. Put half in a saucepan, salt and pepper. Put meatballs on a pillow made of vegetables, put the remaining cabbage with carrots on top of them. Salt everything again and season with pepper. Add a couple of bay leaves.

4

Dilute the tomato paste with water and pour into the stewpan. Add the oil in which the hedgehogs were fried. Cover the dishes and simmer everything over medium heat for about an hour.
