It turns out that pilaf can be cooked not only with lamb or some other meat. No less wonderful can even be pilaf cooked completely without meat, as a real and very healthy lean dish.

- - 850 g of rice;
- - 195 g of onions;
- - 175 g dried apricots;
- - 155 g of raisins;
- - 215 g of apples;
- - 85 ml of vegetable oil
- - seasoning for pilaf;
- - salt, basil.

Peel onions, rinse thoroughly and chop. In a deep cast-iron skillet, heat sunflower oil properly, transfer the onions into it and lightly fry for about 8 minutes.

Soak dried apricots and raisins in warm water for 15 minutes, then drain the water and cut the dried fruits into small pieces.

Peel the apple, wash, remove the core and the bones, cut into small pieces.

Transfer all chopped fruit to a pan with onions, reduce heat slightly and continue to fry for another 12 minutes. Then sprinkle with seasoning for pilaf, salt, pepper and mix everything thoroughly.

Rinse the rice in running cold water at least 7 times, then transfer it to a frying pan with fruit, without stirring. Carefully top up with water so that it covers the entire rice by no more than 1 cm.

Close the pan with a lid, reduce heat to the minimum and cook for about 35 minutes until rice is fully cooked.

Then turn off the fire, mix the prepared pilaf and let it brew for another 30 minutes.

Serve the dish with fresh herbs and tomatoes.
