Lingonberry syrup

For the winter, you can cook syrup from lingonberries. To do this, you will need:

- 1 kg of berries;

- 3 tbsp. water;

- 300 g of sugar;

- 3 tablespoons citric acid.

Sort out the ripe lingonberries, rinse it in cold water and transfer to enameled dishes. From syrup, sugar and lemon juice, boil the syrup, pour them berries and leave them to infuse for several hours. Then transfer the lingonberries to a sterilized jar. Bring the syrup to a boil and fill it with berry, seal the container with a lid. Keep the syrup in a cool place.

Lingonberry jam

Lingonberry jam has a pleasant taste and aroma, it can be used as a filling for pies, decorate homemade cakes and pastries with it. To make jam, you will need:

- 1 kg of berries;

- 1.5 kg of sugar;

- 2 tbsp. water.

Pour boiling water over lingonberries and discard in a few minutes on a sieve. Put the berries in a pan, pour hot syrup from water and sugar into it. Cook the jam for 15-20 minutes, be sure to remove the foam.

In lingonberry jam, you can add several apples or pears cut into small pieces.

Lingonberry soaked

Another way to prepare lingonberries for the winter is to make a soaked berry. Such a preparation is well suited to meat dishes, it can be added to cabbage salads, vinaigrettes.

Take 1 kg of berries, sort it out and clean it of debris, rinse well and drop it onto a sieve to make glass water. From 1 liter of water, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp salt, a pinch of cinnamon and a pair of clove buds, boil the syrup. You need to cook it for 10 minutes, constantly removing the foam.

To improve digestion, cranberry water can be prepared. To do this, ripe lingonberries need to be placed in an enameled can, pour cool boiled water and insist for 2-3 weeks.

Lay lingonberries in jars and pour hot syrup. Cover the jars with parchment and store them in a cool place.
