While the mixture is warming up, start preparing cans for preservation. One-liter jars must be thoroughly washed and sterilized on a stove. Take a large pot, pour water into it and put on fire. Cover the pan with a metal strainer or wire rack so that the cans do not fall inward. Wait for the water to boil and sterilize the jars for a couple of about 15 minutes. Repeat the same procedure with the covers.

Meanwhile, the sugar-plum mixture begins to boil. Let the jam boil for about 10 minutes, then turn off the gas. Wait until the jam has cooled to room temperature, and then light the gas again and bring the contents to a boil. Let the jam boil for 10 minutes, cool to room temperature and return to the stove. As soon as the contents of the pelvis begin to boil for the third time, lay the jam in prepared jars. Tightly roll the cans so that they do not have access to air.
