Purchased chips, as far as we all know, are not quite a useful product. But if you are still a fan or admirer of this delicious dish, then it is better to cook them at home. Home-made chips preserve the taste of potatoes, and are much more useful than those bought in the store. In addition, the presence of oil in them is minimized, which can also be safely written into the advantages of home cooking.

You will need

  • 1. Potato 2 pcs.

  • 2. Flour half a glass

  • 3. Seasoning (any to taste)

  • 4. Salt

  • 5. Vegetable oil (for frying)

  • On the sauce:

  • 1. Sour cream 2 tbsp.

  • 2. Mayonnaise 1 tbsp.

  • 3. 1 clove of garlic

  • 4. Lemon juice 1 tsp.

  • 5. Greens (any to taste)

Instruction manual

1

We clean the potatoes, cut into circles very, very thinly, until translucent. It should turn out no more than 2mm wide. Usually this is done on a grater, it’s faster, but it can also be done manually. Potatoes require approximately 2 large tubers or 5 small ones. It depends on how much you need.

2

We take a clean cellophane bag and put there half a glass of flour. There we add spices that you like. Seasoning is good for chicken or pizza. Add salt to taste. Close the bag and mix well. The potato can stick together, so you need to separate it and mix again.

3

We heat the pan, add the oil (it does not take too much, just so that the chips do not burn). We put the chips into a preheated pan, fry until browning and turn over. It is necessary to ensure that they do not burn out and add oil.

4

We spread each portion of ready-made chips on a napkin so that the oil flows and the chips are slightly dried. We put another napkin on top and a new portion of chips on it and so on.

5

For the sauce, mix 2 tbsp. sour cream, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, 1 crushed clove of garlic on a garlic squeezer, 1 tsp squeezed lemon and dried or fresh herbs (suitable dill or parsley). Serve cooled with the sauce.
