Potato pancakes can only be made from potatoes. But the dish turns out to be especially tasty, in which there are other ingredients, for example, chicken, cottage cheese, etc. Therefore, today we will discuss two interesting recipes for cooking potato pancakes.

Potato pancakes with chicken

This recipe will appeal to even those gourmets who do not like potato pancakes. Meat and vegetables are very harmoniously combined with each other, so the dish can be an independent meal on the table. And if you make a salad of cucumbers and tomatoes, then puzzle over what kind of dinner to feed the family, is not necessary.

To make potato pancakes with chicken, take:

  • 6 large potatoes;

  • 1 chicken breast;

  • 1 head of onion;

  • 3 cloves of garlic;

  • 2 chicken eggs;

  • 2 tbsp. l mayonnaise;

  • Salt and spices as desired.

The sequence of cooking potato pancakes is as follows:

  1. Rinse the meat thoroughly, dry it a little, cut the breast into small thin plates, sprinkle with salt and spices, leave to stand for 5 minutes.

  2. Wash the potatoes, remove the peel. Take a deep plate, pour cold water there and grate potatoes directly in the liquid on a large shredder. This trick is needed so that the vegetable does not darken and has a beautiful color when cooking.

  3. Rinse the grated potatoes in water, drain the liquid. Salt lightly the vegetable and let stand for 2-3 minutes. During this time, the potato will give away excess juice, drain it.

  4. Put the prepared meat in a bowl to the potato, beat the eggs, add the mayonnaise, garlic, minced and husked and chopped onions. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

  5. Preheat the pan, pour vegetable oil on it and lay out, wielding a tablespoon, the dough for potato pancakes. Fry the blanks on both sides until golden brown.

  6. Serve the finished potato pancakes to the table in a warm form. Fresh and canned vegetables go well with the dish.

Potato pancakes prepared according to this recipe can be an independent dish and are suitable for a snack, for example, at work.
