By tradition, a kutya, which is considered a symbol of the immortality of the soul, is prepared at the wake. It must be tried by each of the guests present. Kutya for a funeral should be prepared in compliance with all the rules that are currently not known to everyone.

- Wheat - 1.5 cups;
- poppy - 150 grams;
- walnuts - 150 grams;
- raisins - 150 grams;
- honey - 2-3 tablespoons.

Boil the wheat until tender, but so that it does not boil.

Boil poppy for 7-10 minutes, strain and crush.

Fry walnuts in a pan, smash into small pieces.

Pour raisins with boiling water, drain the water, sort through the berries, removing the stalks.

Mix wheat, poppy seeds and nuts with honey and raisins.

Put the finished kutya in beautiful molds and put at the head of the table.
Useful advice
Instead of boiled wheat, rice or sprouted wheat is allowed.
